The First Ever Thailand by UTMB® Takes Place This Week
For runners, trail running is an exceptional experience that challenges your performance while you can simultaneously relish the beauty of mountainous landscape. For the first time ever, Thailand’s trail turns world-class with the race organised by UTMB® Group.
Doi Inthanon is Thailand’s highest mountain, and 1,500 runners are preparing to conquer its peak at the inaugural Thailand by UTMB® this weekend, 30 October to 1 November 2020, with 5 races to participate: the 100 Mile ‘Inthanon 6’, ‘Inthanon 5’ 120km, ‘Inthanon 4’ 80km, ‘Inthanon 1’ 24km and the ‘Inthanon 10km,’. Aside from myriad health benefits and ‘runner’s high’, participants will get to experience fantastic off-the-beaten tracks crossing rivers, discovering hidden waterfalls, meet the villagers, and more surprises along the way.
The event is one of six trail running races currently organised by UTMB® Group, including the pinnacle event UTMB® Mont Blanc, and the first race to be organised in 2020, following the Covid-19 outbreak.
