Anantara Siam Bangkok Unveils ‘House of Bloom’ Afternoon Tea, Part of Art Afternoon Tea Series
To offer Thailand’s creatives a chance to explore and to pamper guests with visual delights, Anantara Siam Bangkok has recently unveiled its marvelous ‘Art Afternoon Tea’ series, featuring art-inspired experience with exquisiteness.
In collaboration with Thai visual artist Naraphat Sakarthornsap, the ‘House of Bloom’ Afternoon Tea turns the eats in to the art, alongside the whole experience, inspired by the artist’s creative process, in which he tapped his childhood imagination to create a fantastical world of lavish flowers that defy the laws of nature. The resulting floral collages, displayed in the lobby in light boxes, are striking, multi-layered and playful, reminding guests to enjoy every moment and savour new experiences.
His art is coupled with and enhanced by the elegant confectionery from Anantara’s Cluster Executive Pastry Chef Anupong Nualchawee. He uses the motif of overlapping blooms to create delightful petal cakes served on a gold-plated tiered tray alongside fresh flowers and dewy moss. In ‘orchid’ cakes, he brings together tangy passion fruit and rich chocolate, while the delicate apple rose petals are balanced with yuzu meringue. Artfully camouflaged as kala flowers and orchids are two playful white peach and cherry blossom pop cakes.
Equally creative are the multilayer savouries such as shrimp wrapped in lotus and spring rolls with sea bass, as well as scones flavoured with lavender and white chocolate served with clotted cream, pineapple and jasmine jam, and caramel butter. Guests can upgrade the experience by opting for one of the refreshing mocktails or two glasses of premium champagne.
House of Bloom Afternoon Tea is available daily from 14:00 to 18:00 and is priced at THB 1,950++ for two guests including tea, coffee or mocktail, with additional THB 1,000 for two glasses of Moët & Chandon Champagne. For reservations, please call +66 (0) 2126 8866 or email dining.asia@anantara.com.
