teamLab has brought the creative exhibition to the heart of Bangkok – teamLab Islands – temporarily located on the 3rd floor of Central World. L+T happily presents an overview of this amusing pop-up, where you can learn and have fun at the same time.
Dance! Art Museum
#1 Flowers and People, Cannot be Controlled but Live Together – A Whole Year per Hour
Blooming and withering flowers are displayed. The interaction between the viewer and the installation causes continuous change, representing human actions affect changes in an environment.
#2 Flowers and Corpse Glitch Set of 12
The work consists of 12 film stories based on the themes of civilization and nature, collision, circulation, symbiosis.
Jakuchu Ito’s painting is shown in a virtual 3-D space in which 3-D animals move
#4 100 Years Sea Animation Diorama
The rising sea level brought by climate change, based on WWF’s scientific data, is visualised in order to warn visitors about global crisis.
#5 Crows are chased and the chasing crows are destined to be chased as well, Division in Perspective – Light in Dark
A digital installation in three dimensions on seven screens. . The Japanese mythical bird Yatagarasu flies around the space leaving trails of light in its path, creating spatial calligraphy.
Learn & Play! Interactive Theme Park
#6 Sketch Aquarium
Color in a drawing of a sea creature. The piece of paper is scanned, and the image is projected onto a giant virtual aquarium.
#7 A Table where Little People Live
Children are encouraged to interact with the little people, running around an interactive tabletop screen, by placing objects on the table.
#8 Story of the Time When Gods were Everywhere
As the symbols on the screen are touched by children, they evolve into the images that they represent.
#9 Light Ball Orchestra
Rolling a light ball changes its color and sound. Combined, the light balls form an orchestra.
#10 Connecting! Train Block
Place different blocks on the table, more cars and trains appear, forming a townscape.
#11 Sketch Town
The 2-D drawings are scanned and projected onto the virtual 3-D townscape.
#12 Create! Hopscotch for Geniuses
Create the Hopscotch course and determine the level of difficulty. Different sound effects and beautiful imageries emerge as participants land on the same shape or color in succession.
