Starbucks Reserve Bar

Starbucks celebrates 20 years of delivering the Starbucks Experience to customers throughout Thailand with the recently opened CentralWorld store– its largest store in Thailand. Located on the first floor of CentralWorld, the store features a Starbucks Reserve Bar and, for the first time in Asia, Starbucks®DRAFT beverages infused with nitrogen.

Celebrating 20 Years in Thailand with First-in-Asia Beverage Innovation

Starbucks® DRAFT makes its Asia debut in the store through a four-tap system delivering 4 types of drinks: Starbucks Cold Brew and nitrogen-infused Starbucks Cold Brew, tea and milk. This latest beverage innovation draws in customers with its velvety texture cascading from the taps creating a sensory experience for both the taste buds and for the eyes without ice being added. The Starbucks® DRAFT counter offers Nitro Flat White, Nitro Caramel Macchiato, Nitro Peach Tea, Nitro Green Tea Latte– a popular drink among Thai customers – and Dark Caramel Cold Foam Nitro.

Coffee Leadership

Starbucks CentralWorld is Thailand’s largest Reserve Bar store composed of a Starbucks traditional coffee bar as well as the Starbucks Reserve Bar, at which customers are invited to deepen their coffee knowledge. Featuring the Black Eagle espresso machine for unique, espresso-forward beverages and various brewing methods such as the Siphon, Chemex, and Pour Over, customers can sample Starbucks Reserve, small-lot coffees for a premium coffee experience and specially crafted by Starbucks Coffee Master partners (employees) whose passion and knowledge of coffee is highlighted by their black aprons.

“Following the success of Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew coffee, we continue to search for beverage innovations that elevate the customer experience. Today, we are pleased to launch Starbucks® DRAFT, an innovative cold beverage each offering a rich, creamy texture,” says Nednapa Srisamai, managing director of Starbucks Coffee (Thailand) Ltd. “This is a new cold beverage experience not to be missed.”

Biggest in Thailand, Decorated with Coffee-Inspired Arts and Local Art

As customers enter the space for the first time, their eyes will be drawn to the high golden ceiling inspired by the natural terraces where coffee is grown and which pays homage to the landscapes of coffee-growing terrain. The ceiling begins the coffee journey for customers by inviting them to come in from the outside and move towards the central Starbucks Reserve bar where the aroma of coffee can be enjoyed all around. The store is surrounded by locally relevant art installations throughout the store.

Local artist Rukkit Kuanhawate has created a feature piece highlighting the various coffee growing regions through regional wildlife including the Sumatran Tiger, Kenyan Elephant and Guatemalan Quetzal bird. Similarly, Irin (Ann) Ariyatanap and her team have hand painted murals using drawings of coffee botanicals and Thai floral motifs. The 760-square-metre store has more than 230 seats and 2 large rooms designed to host community events or small gatherings.

Tumbler workshop, Starbucks Inspirations

Starbucks has invited Olive Creative Lab, the new hip workshop provider who believes in exchanging art knowledge between those who love art. Since there is no right or wrong in art, Olive Creative Lab believes that the more you try the better.

The workshop focuses on drawing with colored pencils by using inspirations from the 20th anniversary of Starbucks. The instructor coaches the media to draw elements that are relevant to Starbucks such as coffee trees, coffee beans, and of course, the Siren. After the workshop, the media get to take home their handcrafted tumbler, the only one in the world.
