Scheduled to be officially reopened on 28 May, Siam Discovery – at the heart of Bangkok – welcomed L+T to explore ‘The Biggest Arena of Lifestyle Experiments’ this morning. It claims we could experiment and discover what we like and what expresses our own identity best.
Without the constraints of a particular brand or school of design, products are brought together under a single universal concept that puts customers at the centre. From among a choice of more than 5,000 international and local brands, we can conveniently choose, mix, match, try, and then try again.
Starting from the entrance on Ground Floor, I was greeted by Discovery-Man Exhibition where the symbolic mascot is dressed in varied styles. Themed in Her Lab, this area is – more or less – a ladies’ paradise! Besides a fabulous array of ladies items, I got stunned with the fantastic Interactive Dressing Room equipped with a consulting service from personal stylists.
The M Floor, instead, pampers all men with His Lab. A selection of menswear, smart accessories and for-men skincare is introduced. Another highlight of this floor is Social Discovery, collaborated with Black Egg, in which we can create our own exhibition from our instagram’s photos – according to the theme ‘When Obsession Becomes Identity.’
Named as Street Lab, the 1st Floor gathers several remarkable brands of casual, street- and sport- wears together. Also, there is Run for Another Life are in which we can turn our power into the donation. Run for 500 metre and 10 THB is donated for Lumpini Park’s maintenance.
Digital Lab on the 2nd Floor made me feel like I got lost in some sci-fi film-like world. Trendy gadgets, techno toys, artists’ items, cameras and stationeries are offered by cool staffs on moving hoverboards!
Moving the 3rd Floor, at Creative Lab, I found other alternative for create a special Eco gift and ‘saving our planet’ at the same time. Then, I spent a lot of time soaked up in stylish home decor accessories and numerous chic lifestyle items.
The Play Lab on the top floor perfectly wrapped up my excursion with Play Lab. Toys, books and a variety of entertainment stuffs well nostalgically recalled my childhood. And opened-soon Co-food Lab looked so fulfilling!
