10-minute drive from Phuket International Airport, Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa Nai Yang Beach stands beside the tranquil beach. Walking through the lobby, the iconic red-whiskered bulbul sculptures in a big bird bath look almost real under the shady light, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Walking past to the Thai-style sofas near the edge of an open-air lobby area, the Andaman sea waves can be seen.

In nice weather, you may feel as if you’re being bundled up with the blue sky and white cotton clouds because sometimes the clear pool in the front will also reflect the same beauty from below. Nai Yang beachfront is also only about five minutes away from the lobby and surrounded by forest and Sirinat National Park.

The hotel has nine types of private accommodation, which are Superior, Deluxe Pool & Sea View, Deluxe Pool Access, Garden Cabana Pool Access, One Bedroom Suite, One Bedroom Pool Access Suite, One Bedroom Beach Plunge Pool Villa, and Two Bedrooms Beach Pool Villa. All are decorated in earth tones and wooden furniture. One of my favourite gimmicks in the room was a mosaic-tile bathtub as it is unusually lively compared to a normal white one. For a bigger tub, the swimming pool is laid along the back of pool access room which is parallel to the sea.

Hiding in a secluded cottage-like building, Quan Spa at Nai Yang is given an additional small treatment of gong sound vibrations. While adults are on pleasure, various activities are prepared to entertain the children from art and craft lessons, to the water cannon in a small playground, while the napping room is available in safe and sound surroundings.

All-day international dining is available at the Andaman Kitchen where a variety of breakfast is a start of the day. There are more options for lunch and dinner as Big Fish Grill and Big Fish Bar light the fire in its shared kitchen from noon till late at night, or you can ask for a special set-up on the beach for a memorable night in nice weather. Thai-twist taste is quite a highlight here is in its Tom Yam bread.

Another place for the leisure, The Lounge is an open-air bar near the lobby with a variety of drinks with and without alcohol. This is a great chance to try some unique Thai-inspired drinks which have Thai names and use Thai-distilled spirits. Enjoy a great view, have a good chat, and watch television behind the bar, or do everything mentioned at the same time!

The lobby is spacious with many chairs and sofas available. The spot is peaceful so it can be another great place to have a chat with friends or just enjoy reading. Furthermore, many inclusive activities are great encouragement for every guest to try something new, as I also had my first Tai Chi class here in a splendid setting on the beach, literally.
