Hilton Hotels has appointed Boris Blobel as General Manager of the Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa.
Blobel has been with Hilton since 2008 and joins the Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa from the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, where he held the position of Resort Manager. Prior to that, Blobel was the Director of Operations at the Conrad Shanghai and also held hotel management positions with Hyatt Hotels in China and Germany. Blobel has a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Purdue University in the United States and a Diploma in Hotel Operations from the HOSTA Hotel Management School in Switzerland.
In his new role, Blobel will be responsible for all operational aspects of the resort and willoversee accommodation, events and conferences, leisure facilities and the sales andmarketing functions of the property. He will report to Thomas Hoeborn, Regional General Manager Thailand.
