Going back in time, the 4-generation old Jaspal Company Limited was founded in 1947 by Jaspal Singh, an immigrant from India looking for a fresh start in life who has diligently and relentlessly worked his way up and prosperously established a solid foundation for his family in Thailand. From his observant and trade skills, he started importing terry cloths from the US focusing on local popular brands before expanding to imported beddings, onto establishing his own factory to manufacture products under Santas brand then expanded toward fashion lines such as Jaspal, CPS Chaps, CC-OO, Lyn, Lyn Around, Footwork, Footwork Noir and Misty Mynx.
The ready-to-wear fashion apparel brand “Jaspal” began importing fashion clothing and accessories to Thailand in 1972 before installing large commercial machinery for the first time in 1980 and shifting to manufacturing and retailing its own products fully. However, Visith Singhsachathet, Managing Director of Jaspal Company Limited, 2nd generation from the 2nd son in Mr. Jaspal – Founder – siblings of 4, is the real figure behind Jaspal brand’s recent success as Thailand’s and soon to be region’s leading fashion retailer.
Viseth Singhsachathet, Assistant Managing Director of Jaspal Company Limited and the 3rd generation heir explained the brand’s core strategy “Throughout the past 45 years, Jaspal has never stopped developing and improving since the 2nd generation of management being my father Visith. Viseth has continuously pushed Jaspal into collaborations with highlights and well-known projects such as the 4 decades celebration with part of the celebratory collection being Winter Collection 2012-2013 by “Nuj Novakhett” – international fashion brand by Thai designer famous amongst Hollywood elites, and “F.O.R. Jaspal Limited Edition Collaboration T-shirt” project for Fall 2013 Collection in which the t-shirt chic prints are creative artworks designed by 11 participating famous contemporary artists group “For” including Kult Teerawut, Logan, May-T, Miss Ink, Nariss, P7, Mamafaka, Rukkit, Tawan, TRK and Yuree as well as the special project “Jaspal x Starwars Collaborative Project” which was a collaboration between Jaspal and Disney Pictures to create a Star Wars special collection in 2015.
