SETTING THE SCENE
The biggest island in Eastern Thailand – Koh Chang – is home to many dreamy and gracious hotels. Recognised as a distinctively different retreat, The Dewa is located on the Klong Prao beachfront, about 14 kilometres from the ferry pier. A modern-rustic tropical architecture miraculously and harmoniously blends with its natural surroundings.
Starting from ‘Deluxe’, the rooms are located in buildings surrounding a centred main pool. Overlooking from a restful pool-view terrace, a tranquil ambience at day and a dazzling lighting scene at night of the pool is particularly stunning. Stepping closer to the beach, you could book ‘Villa’ or ‘Grand Villa’ as your choices. The Villas are nestled in shady gardens between the pool and the beach while the Grand Villas, ultimate loft-style buildings, grant a panoramic sea view with private Jacuzzi. Besides, you could pamper yourself at ‘The Spa’ with special aromatherapy and reflexology performed by specialised therapists. A sauna and whirlpool are also available.
If you desire to be pleased with a scene of the black and shiny swimming pool, take a seat at ‘The Restaurant’, where a selection of Thai and European cuisine is fully prepared for your all-day dining. Meanwhile, ‘The Beach’ provides a combination of an ideal seascape, cool breeze, seafood BBQ, wine and cocktails on the beachfront. And a quick stop at ‘The Café’ could fulfill your relaxing day with their wide range of teas and coffees. ‘The Pool’, an in-water pool bar is another alternative for indulging yourself with refreshment by the pool side.
WHY I’D RETURN
The charming 700 sqm swimming pool of The Dewa pops up in my mind first when I think why I would go back there. Unwinding myself by floating along a sheltered water is an inimitable moment. The peaceful beach painted with unforgettable sunset colours is another good reason to get me there. And the large, comfortable room and bed with breath-taking views make me miss The Dewa, undeniably.
