Singaporean native Chef de Cuisine Cassidy Shen once again invites you to experience the popular Singaporean delicacy, the Chili Crab dish at VIU.

Every Monday, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, enjoy the following three traditional recipes at THB 1,850++ per person, including Som Tum and Crab Fried Rice. Additional bucket of four beers is available at THB 400++.

  • Braised crab in homemade savory chili tomato sauce served with mantou
  • Wok fried crab in aromatic pepper sauce
  • Wok fried crab with fragrant egg yolk sauce, infused with curry leaves and chili padi

According to Chef Cassidy, the chili crab sauces are often described as “sensuous and sweet, yet savory and with a fluffy texture. Hence the dishes are succulent, rich and delicious”.

“It is traditionally eaten with bare hands as a means to savor the juicy crab meat with its sweet and spicy chili sauce and mud crabs are the most common type of crabs used for the dish, although other species of crab can be used too”.
