Dusit Thani Krabi Resort sits calmly on Klong Muang Beach, which stretches two kilometres to keep me away from the outside world. I feel like I’m living in a world of my own.

There was a little excitement as I opened the door to my room for the first time. The first thing that smashed in was the lemongrass aroma. The second is the warm natural light from the balcony that makes the room look so laidback. Turquoise timber parallels with the nude timber decors, just like the mood and tone of the era. It is clean and airy.

The hotel, apparently, is the land of facilities. Guests can enjoy opulent choices of activities here from the gym, the pools, the spa, sport activities on and off the shoreline – even children will be falling for the Kid’s Club.

While there are so few Indian restaurants than you could imagine in Krabi, Malati – the hotel’s signature – is famous for them. The classic Indian recipe gets adjusted to something less complicated, filling more Thai essence into the dishes. Mangosteen is the hotel’s most bustling dining spot. It is where we can have elegant buffet breakfast, a la carte lunch and dinner. I walked past Gecko Bar and the vibe was enchanting at night. I heard that its Tomyam cocktail is quite famed as well.

I really, really want to know the name of the supplier of the aromatherapy bath salts in the bathroom. It worked so tremendously well. Showers can be amusing at the hotel. I also give full marks for the activities. Entertainment is everywhere. The personal, exclusive island trip is excellent. You might also book a biking tour to the city or up on the hilly road for more of nature sightseeing.
